Two-fer on a Wednesday

I've got a little creative 2-fer today, I've combined this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch along with the MFT Color Palette Challenge for the month.  This month's color combination includes my crafty nemesis - purple.  So I used that color sparingly.  Do you have a crafty nemesis?  What is the one color that terrifies you - purplephobe like me?

I've been having a lot of fun playing with the MFT Flower Medley Die-namics lately, I cut the blooms each once from Berrylicious and again from Grapesicle. I die-cut the Royal Leaves Die-namics twice from Sour Apple.  I like molding the leaves and flowers for lots of extra dimension, after all flower petals are not flat, they've got curve and dimension.  All the edges have been lightly inked with a distress ink as well

The Striped Background is a staple for me, I love this one.  To match the layout I applied a thin strip down the right hand side of the layout. The peek-a-boo style of this layout was a tricky one for me, so I left that Berrylicious layer nice and clean…  My little embellishment cluster grew I used two flower embellies plus a button.    The circle frame was cut using the cut and re-cut technique with a pair of Circle STAX.  Cut a circle, then knock a smaller circle out through the center.

"Thinking of You" was plucked from the Pretty Poppies Stamp Set and sits on a tiny Sentiment Strips Die-namics.  Then, I nestled in a few enamel dots to accent the sentiment.

You have a chance to win by playing along in MFT Challenges - you can find the Color Palette for this month right HERE, while you're there, be sure to visit the MFT Blog today for this week's Sketch Challenge link up.

I'm with you... purple should be outlawed! :) I do NOT like it.

HA!
I am a purple-phobe! I like purple but I don't wear it, buy it for my kids clothes or use it in cards or scrapbooking!! What's with purple anyway???

Super sweet, Joanne! Love the striped side panel and beautiful layered blooms.

I love soft shades of purple, but green is the color I dislike the most. I am proud to say I stepped outside of my comfort zone and used Sour Apple. :)
